Ok with all of the choices out there what is everybody using and how is it working out for you?

I got a Motorola A855 Droid last week.  I bought the Verizon "Droid" leather case/belt clip MOTA855CAS which says right on the box, "fits Droid by Motorola."



I was underwhelmed when I figured out that the micro USB charger plug is half covered by the spine of the case, so you can't leave it in the case while charging. I'll be taking back the case as soon as I find something better.  The belt clip on this unit is not secure either.  After only two days of use, I've had the clip come off my belt several times.  Check my blog for more photos. http://icoolspark.blogspot.com/2009/11/my-motorola-droid-day-1-first-thoughts.html  I was out looking at Best Buy and Walmart last night looking at other options, but didn't see anything that fit well.  I want a holster that will stay secure on my belt and protect the phone from bumping up against things as I'm pretty active, and like keep the phone within reach at all times.

Welcome to droid boards Anastasia and thanks for the great post!  The case looks great but it is a bit of a pain that you can't charge the phone while it's in the case.

Im new to the forum but look forward to finding many tips and sharing any that I stumble accross.

I care very much on how my phone looks as well as keeping it clean and looking new. With SO many choices I really had to do some research on which case I wanted that would protect without being to bulky and be pleasing to the eye.
I broke down and spent the extra bit of money and bought the body glove case cover for my phone. I LOVE it! I have a few friends who have different covers and they all would have rather purchased the one I ended up with. When holding it in your hand while texting or surfing the web it feels so comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Thanks for the tip I am going to have to check out the body glove case.  Do you know if the phone will fit in the car mount with that case on?

I don't think there are many case that will work with the car mount. I could be wrong. I purchased a mount called "bracketron" which comes in a couple different options. I have the window mount which will hold my itouch or my cell in both vertical or horizontal positions. I LOVE IT. I got it t best buy for$30 then returned it when I found it on eBay for $16 with free shipping.


this is holding my itouch just for the picture. the sides spread apart and then squeeze them together which hold the phone tight. It spreads far enough for me to view horizontally for GPS use also.
